Dancing
Sentimental City Romance
The review
The two people who drove toward the sea on Smiling find themselves there after dark on Dancing. “Flight Tonight” is a slow melodic groove for a quiet summer night: a man talks about love, but not without circling around what he means. “Miss Biscuit” wakes up with the morning and takes a bright walk along a seaside path.
By “Just Feeling,” the band is strolling the coast at night again. The easy pop melody makes the change of scene seem effortless, although there is a lingering question: is he still with the same girl? That playful uncertainty is part of the album's charm. The band keeps its light summer in motion, like a beat that refuses to stop.
