GO AHEAD!

A2 is an homage to Chicago’s jazz-rock, its jagged guitar figures etched into a supple 16-beat groove. A3 moves to a funnier, funkier feel with the players reshuffled. B1 is sweet and plaintive. B2 has the feel of Philly soul, and the groove of B3 takes us through yet another change. Yamashita changes his sound so rapidly that it is like a rainbow appearing after ‘2000 Tons of Rain.’ The artwork, too, seems to make the jazz of the preceding IT’S A POPPIN’ TIME leap more vividly: more, more poppin’ time!
