SOMEDAY

Motoharu Sano

The review

After working across so many Niagara sessions, Motoharu Sano found the final form of his pop sound, the fruits of a journey in which he had barely stopped learning from his seniors. Despite the great success he won with this album, its completeness was such that he soon became a visitor for a while, setting off for New York in search of a new sound. A1 has tension enough to fold over itself; rock and roll alone cannot explain this ultimate pop song. And A4, one of Sano's finest mellow grooves, is a birthday-party staple that any DJ should carry.
