“Good Luck” places Goro Noguchi's controlled vocal over a sleek Kyohei Tsutsumi composition. The rhythm has a crisp disco pull, but the song keeps the dramatic contour of adult pop rather than surrendering completely to the dance floor.
The B-side, “Kieta Hurricane,” gives the single a second, equally urban mood. It is a strong example of late-seventies kayokyoku meeting the studio precision that city-pop listeners prize.
