“Koi no Warming Up” gives Yuko Ohtaki a bright, rhythm-conscious setting that feels breezy without becoming lightweight. Kazuo Shiina's composition and arrangement place crisp guitar and an easy pop pulse around her lively vocal.
Originally used for a Yakult Joie commercial, the song has outlived its advertising origin as a finely made 1980 city-pop single. “Kiiroi Kabutomushi” completes the original release on the reverse.
