Entering the 1980s, Hi-Fi Set refined their sound and vocal arrangements still further. Stylish and catchy, the music also has the atmosphere of contemporary jazz. A1, a swinging pop tune written by Toshihiko Yamamoto, makes a strong case for the group's essential appeal. Its sophisticated orchestration strikes a perfect balance with their harmonies, and the gorgeous vocal arrangement is superb. Ginji Ito's summer pop song A4 features a distinctive exchange between Shigeru Okawa and Junko Yamamoto. B2, written by Yoshitaka Minami, offers another chance to enjoy their wonderfully satisfying harmonies.
